Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on July 20, 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. In her new position, Fisher is responsible for covering everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space business and the emergence of space tourism. As the daughter and the mother of two NASA astronauts Kristin was raised in the space industry and spent the last five years reporting on the Biden and Trump Space policies of the administration as a White House Correspondent for FOX News. Through that time she covered the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial and two attempts to prevent the spread of coronavirus and two other administrations' initiatives. The former president Donald Trump traveled to Afghanistan in a trip that was highly restricted. Kristin was a TV local reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter, before becoming a reporter for CBS in the year 2015. Kristin made use of her experiences behind the lens to start Field Mouse Films. The firm specialized in making documentary films and was a favorite among corporate clients, including Uber, Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin received her Bachelor of Science degree in journalism from Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter live in Washington, D.C.
